Dear Fellow Conservatives,
I write this letter not as an appeal but as a challenge to those of you who have chosen to endorse or support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for President and Vice President. It is deeply troubling to witness fellow Conservatives being swayed by personalities or frustrations with Donald Trump, overlooking the very real damage that a Harris/Walz administration would do to the values and the fundamental structure of our nation.
Let’s be clear: Donald Trump is far from perfect. He is a Populist, not a true Conservative, and there are serious concerns about his behavior, actions, and words. But the stakes in this election are not about whether you like Trump personally or not. This election is about safeguarding the future of the United States from the devastating effects of Progressive Liberal policies that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz represent. Supporting Harris and Walz is not just a mistake; it is a betrayal of everything we, as Conservatives, have fought for.
The Reality of Trump’s Flaws
I won’t sugarcoat it. Donald Trump is divisive. His bombastic style, his impulsive nature, and his often troubling rhetoric have given many Conservatives pause. There’s no denying that Trump’s Populism isn’t always in line with traditional Conservative values. His policies on trade, immigration, and foreign relations sometimes strayed from the pure Conservative line, and he didn’t always adhere to the principles of limited government and personal responsibility.
But we have to be honest with ourselves. Rejecting Trump because of personality differences or disagreements on specific policies pales in comparison to the threat posed by Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Your support for them, in any form, is a direct endorsement of Progressive Liberalism, a philosophy that will fundamentally alter the fabric of this country.
The Progressive Liberal Threat of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz
Make no mistake, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will usher in a new era of Progressive dominance that will be nearly impossible to reverse. Their policies, rooted in government overreach and socialist ideals, will stifle economic growth, undermine national security, and chip away at the individual freedoms we hold dear.
Economy
Harris and Walz support tax increases, more government control, and an expansion of entitlements. They advocate for policies that punish job creators and push businesses out of the country. Kamala Harris has been vocal in her support of tax hikes on businesses and the wealthy, notably backing Biden’s plan to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%. Meanwhile, Walz has also pursued tax increases during his tenure as governor, notably advocating for a gas tax hike to fund infrastructure projects, a move that would have burdened middle- and lower-income Americans.
These are not the policies of a free market economy. They are the policies of a government that believes it knows better than the individual how wealth should be earned and distributed. A Harris/Walz administration will double down on these failed approaches, crippling economic growth and leaving hardworking Americans behind. Data from the Tax Foundation demonstrates that raising corporate tax rates typically results in lower wages for workers, higher consumer costs, and a reduced incentive for investment.
Diplomacy and Foreign Relations
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s foreign policy will be a continuation of the weak, appeasing posture we’ve seen in the Biden administration. Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, supported by Harris, was a clear indication of their incompetence. While Biden has accepted much of the blame for the chaotic withdrawal, it’s important to note that Vice President Harris was present in the decision-making room. She was reportedly one of the key voices advising Biden during the pullout, yet she did nothing to prevent the chaos that ensued, which led to the deaths of 13 brave U.S. servicemembers and the abandonment of billions in military equipment to the Taliban.
Walz, with little to no foreign policy experience, will offer no meaningful strategy to counter threats like China, Russia, or Iran. In fact, their administration will likely embolden America’s enemies and weaken our standing on the global stage, just as Biden and Harris have done over the last four years. Is this the future you want for America?
Safety and Security
If you think a Harris/Walz administration will protect the security of this nation, you are gravely mistaken. Kamala Harris was among the loudest voices calling for police reform following the George Floyd riots, but not reform in the sense of supporting law enforcement while improving accountability. Instead, she advocated for measures that would weaken the police and embolden criminals. The Associated Press reported that Harris expressed support for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which helped bail out individuals involved in violent protests, some of whom went on to commit further crimes.
Crime rates soared in cities across the country after the defund-the-police movement, which Harris tacitly supported. For instance, crime surged in cities like Minneapolis, where Walz governed. According to a report by the Star Tribune, violent crime in the city increased by 20% after police budgets were slashed in response to demands for reform. A Harris/Walz administration will continue down this dangerous path of social justice activism, prioritizing criminals over law-abiding citizens, and placing ideology over safety.
Immigration
Kamala Harris has been nothing short of a failure as the so-called border czar. Record levels of illegal immigration under the Biden administration, supported by Harris’s leadership (or lack thereof), have turned our southern border into a revolving door. Drug cartels, human traffickers, and illegal immigrants flow into the country unabated, while Harris offers no solutions, only empty rhetoric about “addressing root causes.” According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, there were over 2 million illegal border crossings in 2022 alone, a record high under the Harris-led approach to border security.
Tim Walz, who has supported sanctuary city policies, is no better. As Governor of Minnesota, he signed legislation that granted driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants, further incentivizing illegal immigration. Together, they will open the floodgates, leaving America vulnerable to increased crime, drug trafficking, and threats to national security.
Fundamental Structural Damage to the United States
A Harris/Walz administration will not only implement disastrous policies, but they will also fundamentally damage the structure of our nation, from the judiciary to our social fabric.
Judicial Appointments
With Harris and Walz in power, we can expect a radical overhaul of the judiciary. Harris, in particular, will appoint judges who see the Constitution as a living document to be molded to fit Progressive ideals. From Second Amendment rights to free speech, their judicial picks will undermine the very freedoms that Conservatives hold dear. Heritage Foundation studies have shown that judicial activism, where judges legislate from the bench, threatens to erode Constitutional protections and state sovereignty.
Abortion and Social Policies
Kamala Harris has made it clear that she supports abortion on demand, and with Walz by her side, they will push for radical national policies that will undo the pro-life gains made under Trump. Under Harris/Walz, we could see a federal mandate for taxpayer-funded abortions, leaving no room for states to protect the unborn. In fact, Harris has previously co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which sought to prevent states from imposing any meaningful restrictions on abortion.
Their social policies are equally extreme. From radical gender ideology in schools to attacks on religious liberty, Harris and Walz will continue to erode the moral fabric of this nation.
Second Amendment
Both Harris and Walz are openly hostile to the Second Amendment. Harris has pushed for gun control measures that would strip law-abiding citizens of their right to bear arms. In fact, Harris has called for mandatory buybacks of assault weapons, a policy that undermines individual liberties. Walz’s record on gun rights is equally troubling, having supported measures that infringe on the rights of gun owners. If you value your right to defend yourself and your family, a Harris/Walz administration is not the answer.
Government Overreach
Harris and Walz represent an administration that believes in expanding government control over nearly every aspect of American life. Their policies will continue to grow the federal government, leaving less room for individual freedoms, personal responsibility, and state sovereignty. This is not the America that Conservatives believe in. This is the America that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz envision, where government dictates how you live your life.
Conservative Policy Successes Under Trump vs. Progressive Failures Under Harris
I will be the first to admit that Donald Trump is not the ideal Conservative candidate. But I will also be the first to acknowledge his successes. Under Trump, we saw record-breaking economic growth, tax cuts, and a deregulated economy that spurred innovation and job creation. Trump appointed Conservative judges who upheld the Constitution. He secured the border, strengthened our military, and stood firm against the globalist agenda.
Compare that to the failures of the Biden-Harris administration—economic stagnation, a weakened military, open borders, and social justice policies that divide rather than unite. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz represent a continuation of this disaster. Supporting them is not just a mistake; it’s a dereliction of duty to the Conservative movement.
Defending Democracy and the Constitution: Addressing Concerns About Donald Trump
To those Conservatives supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on the grounds that they are defending democracy and the Constitution from the perceived threat of Donald Trump, let’s address those fears directly. I acknowledge that many of you are genuinely concerned that Trump represents a danger to our democratic system. You’ve likely heard arguments claiming Trump attempted to steal the 2020 election through lies and violence, as well as accusations that he sought to overturn the will of the people after his loss. These are serious allegations, but they must be examined in context and with a clear head.
Donald Trump indeed continues to contest the results of the 2020 election, and there was indeed chaos on January 6, 2021. But to frame him as a singular threat to democracy is an oversimplification that ignores the constitutional safeguards we have in place and dismisses the broader political context. Trump’s legal challenges, no matter how contentious, were pursued through the court system, where his claims were rejected—this is how democracy functions, through checks and balances. He did not mobilize the military or dismantle institutions. Instead, the courts, Congress, and the rule of law prevailed.
When it comes to January 6, we cannot condone the violence that occurred, but we must also remember that Trump repeatedly called for peaceful protest. While his rhetoric could have been more responsible, equating the actions of a group of lawbreakers with an existential threat to democracy is misleading. The Constitution withstood the test. The peaceful transfer of power happened, and institutions held strong.
Meanwhile, the policies and principles that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz champion would erode those same institutions. From their desire to undermine the Second Amendment to their embrace of judicial activism that distorts constitutional interpretation, their administration would likely lead to far more long-term structural damage than any of Trump’s behavior ever could.
In truth, Trump’s actions did not dismantle democracy. But a Harris/Walz administration, through their Progressive Liberal agenda, will erode the very constitutional protections they claim to defend, leaving behind a weaker republic in the name of “progress.”
In summary, your concerns about democracy are valid, but Trump’s imperfections do not outweigh the irreversible harm that would be inflicted by a Harris/Walz presidency.
A Call to Action for Conservatives: Don’t Be Lulled by Progressive Promises
To my fellow Conservatives endorsing Harris and Walz: you are making a grave error. This is not a time for division within our ranks. We cannot afford to let frustration with Trump push us into the arms of Progressive Liberals who will destroy everything we believe in.
You may not like Trump. You may not agree with everything he says or does. And yes, there are valid concerns about his behavior and style of leadership. But the fear of Trump’s impact on democracy has been overblown, and the narrative that he threatens the very fabric of our Constitution is unfounded. As discussed earlier, Trump may not be perfect, but his policies did not undermine democracy—far from it. His commitment to protecting American sovereignty, maintaining law and order, and appointing Constitutional originalists to the judiciary reinforced the values we hold dear.
Now, contrast this with Harris and Walz, who will do irreparable damage to this country. This is about the Constitution, sovereignty, and freedom. It’s about protecting our way of life from an agenda that promotes government overreach, economic stagnation, and weakened national security.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz offer an agenda of big government, overreach, and Progressive policies that would cripple our economy, degrade our national security, and impose a radical social agenda that betrays everything Conservatives stand for. Harris’ support for the Green New Deal and Walz’s tax hikes are not hypothetical talking points—they are real policies that will cost Americans jobs, raise taxes, and expand government control over private industries. These are not policies that respect individual liberty or promote economic growth.
Meanwhile, Trump and Vance, for all their flaws, continue to stand by policies that have lifted the American economy before, through tax cuts and deregulation, and are capable of doing so again. Conservatives must focus on what is at stake—our very way of life, which is built on free markets, personal responsibility, and limited government intervention.
Defend Our Core Values, Defend America
If you care about Conservative values, if you believe in the founding principles of this nation, then Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are not the answer. Our economy cannot withstand more Progressive policies that punish success and reward dependency. Our national security cannot endure more appeasement and weakness on the global stage. Our freedoms cannot survive under an administration that sees the Constitution as a living document to be twisted to suit political goals.
The future of America is at stake, and it’s up to us to stand together and reject the false promises of Harris and Walz. Let’s not allow personality differences or frustrations with Trump to lead us down a path of irreversible damage to this great country. I urge you to reconsider your endorsement, to stand by our values, and to fight for an America that respects freedom, sovereignty, and Conservative principles.
